Preserving Marriage, Protecting Families

Arlington, WA - July 14, 2009 - With just eight days to go before the R-71 mailing deadline of July 22, we continue to mail out petitions by the hundreds daily!  If just a fraction of the nearly 75,000 petitions we have distributed are return to us signed, we will have the signatures. Pray that this be the case!
 
PLEASE REMEMBER TO MAIL YOUR PETITIONS BACK TO US BY JULY 22! PLEASE DO NOT CUT THE PETITIONS AS THEY MUST BE RETURNED INTACT TO BE VALID! 

This weekend is the final opportunity to gather signatures at your Sunday school or Worship service!
 
People respond to their Church leaders: If your Pastor or Priest hasn't done so already, encourage them to make an announcement from the pulpit about signing R-71 this Sunday. Make sure you have R-71 petitions ready to be signed in a good location for people on their way out. Whenever this has happened, church goers have signed the petition in huge numbers. We know of churches where every registered voter signed the petition! Some pastor's have even handed the petition out with clipboards directly to their congregation! 
 
My friends, we are in a grave moral crises as a state and nation. A return to the faith and integrity of our forefathers is the only hope we have. We must recover our vision and put 2 Chronicles 7:14 into practice: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land."
 
R-71 provides us with an opportunity to draw a line in the sand with those who mock our values and institutions and seek to tear them down. We have the chance to "just say no" to our societal descent into depravity.
 
Please set aside some time to get down on your knees and pray that the R-71 petition comes back in sufficient numbers one week from today.  If at all possible, gather with other Christians and pray....then pray and pray some more! Pray with prayers of great humility and fervor that our Lord God bring us a victory in this monumental effort to re-engage our culture as Christians standing together, defending our faith, our principles, our families, and our future!
 
If Washington State Christians respond to God's call, we may yet see a revival that turns back the radical liberalism that has so permeated our state government and other public institutions in recent years.
