Same-Sex Marriage vs.Ultimate Truth

October 2, 2009 - The campaign to REJECT SB 5688/Referendum 71 is really rolling!  In just two short weeks, we have distributed yards signs by the thousands and campaign literature by the tens of thousands throughout the entire state! Your support for Protect Marriage Washington is providing us the means to purchase and distribute signs, brochures and bumpers stickers to the multitudes of Washingtonians who have joined with us to defend marriage.

 

Since we began this monumental effort in Olympia during the legislative session last January, our strategy has been to confront our foes with boldness and the truth.  So far, the strategy has worked!

In the brave and strange new world of today's secular  "progressives", there is no ultimate truth. Therefore, godless social policies and strange political aberrations are to be expected.  This is the case now in Washington D.C. as well as Washington State as the far left and their media allies promote terrible ideas like same-sex marriage. 

Will you help Protect Marriage Washington to defend your values?
The campaign team here at Protect Marriage Washington is standing with you against the political tide. We are here to defend Washington State against the tyranny of a minority that wields way more power than is proportionate to their numbers.

We can defeat SB5688/Referendum 71 on November 3 and we will win if we stay in the battle and fight with all of our strength. The future is now and we need to raise money now. Our opponents are well financed and they control the levers of power in our state government and the mainstream media.

Imagine what we could do with a series of REJECT 5688/R-71 ads if we had the money to get on TV and radio to alert our fellow citizens to the dangers of Same-Sex marriage!  

If everyone on this e-mail list were to give just $50 or $100 we could fund a massive statewide media blitz!

Just as David defeated Goliath and our forefathers defeated the British Empire, so can we slay the giants if we move together in faith that our cause is just and rooted in ultimate truth.

Mission

The mission of the new PAC is to organize the effort to gather the 120,577 required signatures for Referendum 71 by July 25, 2009 to bring the controversial Senate Bill 5688 before the voters of Washington State in November. SB 5688 is a 110 page document which includes the phrase "marriage shall apply equally to state registered domestic partnerships" 180 times.

 

SB 5688 was packaged and presented to the legislature as a Domestic Partnerships expansion of benefits. In truth, it will demolish the state's historical understanding and definition of marriage as that of uniting a man and a woman for life as Washington State will immediately become subject to litigation by same-sex partners demanding that the courts overturn the Defense of Marriage Act and impose "same-sex marriage" (as happened recently in California prior to Proposition 8).
